I was amazed from the very first page. I met the author online some time ago, and I always thought that she’s a woman in her early 30’s. Now, I find that she had embarked on her first nutritional science course more than thirty years ago. Wow! If the author looks like this, I must see what she has to say about a healthy lifestyle.

The book seemed to be promising even from the first pages… “I’d finally made all the connections between the different functions of the body and discovered how to eliminate the garbage and toxins from our cells,” the author wrote.

I know this is what I need; a real alternative to all the “crazy ideas about weight management”. More than this, the information comes from an expert like Beran Parry, who studied nutrition, exercise physiology, integrative medicine and holistic health.

The explanation on Epigenetics was a surprise for me. I just heard of it and its promises touched my mind, “Intelligent nutrition and appropriate exercise promote efficient fat-burning, healthy muscle building, longevity, and wellness. Using your body’s natural ability to respond to good nutrition, we can turn away forever from the nightmare of gaining and storing fat and losing muscle mass. We can reduce the risk of disease and illness.”

Being interested in changing my lifestyle and choosing a healthy path, I found this book to be exactly what I needed to complete all of the knowledge that I’ve acquired until now. The skinny delicious three golden food rules should hang on my wall from now on. There is real wisdom here, and maybe you too would like to read what the author states:

1 – Weight loss is all about insulin
2 – Eating lean… protein but plenty good quality fat
3 – Eat clean

When Beran Parry wrote that grains are not so good for our health, I was so happy. I am probably one of the few people on this planet who doesn’t like grains. My body reacts in an unpleasant way when eating them. But… until now, I had to consume them, not knowing of any another way to feed my body to stop the starving sensation.

I never studied the paleo diets until now but from what I’ve read in Beran Parry’s book, it seems that it includes aliments that my body tolerates very well.

The book contains a 21-day detox program where you can learn how to apply the eating regime to benefit you. Also, it intends to take you out of the victim mindset, so you’ll feel the confidence that comes from daily, planned success.

The Skinny Delicious Diet is a very good book that helps you take control of your health, your weight and ultimately your happiness. It’s not an easy or funny book to read. It contains lots of medical explanations, which help you understand why your body reacts in a specific way and what you have to do to find a proper solution.

Reading Beran Parry’s book, I suddenly started to love my body even more. Until now, I always complained about it because it doesn’t tolerate gluten. I knew that gluten is bad for health, but only from reading this book, I now understood why and how.

When I read the list of foods that you are not allowed to eat, I had a shock. There are some which I agree that it’s a good idea to completely cut off. More than this, I can’t wait to cut them off, but… I don’t think I am ready to renounce on eating cheese and yogurt. I really love them.

What I loved most was the part where the book talks about walking. It’s been one month already since I’ve decided to walk daily, and yes, I can confirm what the author is saying about losing weight only by walking.

In this book, you can also find a section on Pilates. This is a method that I never tried, but I am very curious about.

I recommend reading the book. It is not a common weight loss book; it is very well documented research, based on medical and scientific information. I’ve read several books on this subject until now, but I have to admit that this one is the most complete of all.

This book came with the pack of three and is a very large collection of recipes for healthy meals; to be more specific, exactly 251 recipes. I can’t comment now which one works for me, but I surely want to try many of them.
